Indian Pilots Seek Investigation Following Boeing 787 Emergency Power Activation

The Indian Aviation Council has issued a formal request to the Civil Aviation Authority for a thorough inspection of all Boeing 787 Dreamliners currently operating within the country. Following a recent incident, where a pilot reported an unexpected activation of the ram air turbine (RAT), a small propeller device, the aircraft abruptly deployed its emergency power system. This RAT is designed to provide backup power and hydraulic support in case of engine failure. The pilot stated the device was activated unexpectedly, raising concerns about potential system malfunctions. The Aviation Council is urging an investigation to determine the root cause of the incident and ensure ongoing safety standards for the aircraft type.
