Taiwan Intensifies Latin America Investments

Taiwan has announced a significant increase in its financial commitment to Latin America, projecting a spending of over NT$1 billion (US$32.8 million) next year. This investment will be directed towards bolstering diplomatic relations and strategic partnerships within the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will allocate NT$5.37 billion to its Latin American and Caribbean Affairs department, a substantial increase from the previous year’s allocation. The aim is to strengthen ties and mitigate potential shifts in regional alliances.
