Hyderabad: Anurag University has announced a significant partnership with XDlinx Aerospace Labs, a dynamic Hyderabad-based space technology startup, signaling a major commitment to advancing India’s space research and development. Yesterday, the leadership team of XDlinx Aerospace Labs visited Anurag University, showcasing groundbreaking innovations and culminating in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining a collaborative future.
The visit highlighted XDlinx’s impressive achievements, including the successful launch of JANUS-1, India’s first software-defined nanosatellite, launched aboard ISRO’s SSLV-D2 in February 2023. XDlinx also presented the XDSAT-M600, a 150 kg-class satellite featuring advanced SAR and multi-spectral sensors, alongside strategic partnerships to build India’s first private L-band SAR satellite.
“This collaboration represents a pivotal step forward for Anurag University,” stated Mr. Anurag Palla, Associate Vice-President of Strategy at Anurag University. “It strengthens our institution’s academic and research capabilities while simultaneously providing invaluable opportunities for students to engage directly in hands-on satellite development and contribute to India’s burgeoning space industry.”
The agreement will encompass student training, internships, and expert guidance for the development and launch of university-built satellites. This partnership is designed to expand pathways for students and faculty to contribute to India’s rapidly growing space ecosystem.
