New Delhi: Serentica Renewables has selected Envision Energy India to supply wind turbine generators for a 560 megawatt (MW) wind project in India.
The project will use Envision’s Smart Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), each with a rated capacity of 5 MW. Deliveries are expected to begin in February 2026. According to Serentica, the project is part of its plan to provide round-the-clock renewable power across the country.
“The upcoming wind projects in Karnataka, Maharashtra, and other states will not only supply dependable renewable energy to industrial consumers but also play a vital role in reducing carbon emissions,” said Akshay Hiranandani, chief executive officer of Serentica Renewables.
RPV Prasad, managing director of Envision Energy India, said the company’s 5 MW turbines would support India’s net-zero targets.
Serentica said it chose Envision’s turbines for their reliability, efficiency, and ability to provide sustained power for energy-intensive industries.
